Swedish Lapland Visitors Board to the final of the Publishing Prize 2024 – in four categories
During the summer, the Publishing Prize jury has been working on this year’s competition entries. 229 entries have made it to the final and four of the entries are from the Swedish Lapland Visitors Board. On November 5, a gala will be held at Berns in Stockholm, where the winners in the 42 categories will be presented.
The Arctic agenda Care for the Arctic plays the main role in three of the four entries. The films Care for the Arctic – an Arctic agenda, Care for the Arctic – it’s our home and the website careforthearctic.com are finalists.
– It is of course great fun, and a good way to get our message out outside the region,” says Camilla Bondareva, Head of Brand and Communication, Swedish Lapland Visitors Board, and continues
– This is the first time we’ve been a finalist in both the advocacy film category and the information and education website category. The fact that we made it this far shows that the topic is important and we are happy if we can inspire a regenerative mindset.
The fourth entry that made it to the final is the movie Moving an arctic town – relocating Kiruna. The film tells the story of Kiruna’s urban relocation and is an important contemporary document.
– It’s always nice to be nominated and to compete. Since we are not commercial, this is a way to quality assure what we produce. To simply let a jury have their say about what we do at work, says Håkan Stenlund, Content Manager, Swedish Lapland Visitors Board and continues:
– After all, it is public funds we work with and then it can be good if we do as good a job as possible.
The films are produced in-house, a strategic choice that allows the organization to work quickly and flexibly. It is also a way for the Swedish Lapland Visitors Board to authentically tell the story of the Arctic lifestyle on site. The website careforthearctic.se is produced together with the advertising agency Oh My, which has several offices in Norrbotten.
– It is important for us to choose local partners, especially in a job like the Care for the Arctic website. We want to work with companies that, like us, care about the place where we live and work,” says Camilla Bondareva.
On November 5, we will find out who will take home gold and silver in the different categories.
